In 2009 he published his graphic novel 'Asterios Polyp', published by Pantheon. Years later, after three issues of his highly-praised magazine Rubber Blanket, Mazzucchelli transformed the Paul Auster novel 'City of Glass' to a graphic novel with artist Paul Karasik (Avon Books, 1994).ĭavid Mazzucchelli's short stories can be seen in the magazine Drawn & Quarterly and his cover art has graced issues of The New Yorker. Soon he developed his own style and in 1990, he submitted his portfolio to Raw, but it was rejected. He also worked with Miller on 'Batman - Year One' for DC Comics. He had a regular run on Marvel's 'Daredevil' and developed the popular 'Daredevil: Born Again' storyline with Frank Miller. For several years, he drew comics in the superhero genre.
